SUMMARY:Optimization Machine Learning Postdoctoral Researcher
DESCRIPTION:Optimization Machine Learning Postdoctoral Researcher - 100003
 \nDivision: AM-Applied Mathematics and Computational Research\n\nLawrence
Berkeley National Lab’s (LBNL, https://www.lbl.gov/) Applied Mathematics a
nd Computational Research (AMCR, https://amcr.lbl.gov/) Division has an op
ening for a Postdoctoral Fellow to join the team.\n\nIn this exciting role
, you will serve as part of an integrated team of computational and data s
cientists to design and deliver novel zeroth-order mathematical optimizati
on and machine learning algorithms, models, and software to accelerate sci
entific discovery.\n\nWhat You Will Do:\n• Contribute to the design and an
alysis of algorithms for mathematical optimization and machine learning, a
nd to the modeling for complex design, decision, and inference problems. \
n• Collaborate in the development and application of software instantiatio
ns of numerical algorithms. \n• Document work and results in the form of j
ournal papers and conference proceedings, and present work and results at
scientific meetings and conferences. \n• Bring creative and innovative per
spectives by proposing algorithmic approaches, models, and solutions.\n• E
ngage and interact with multidisciplinary science and engineering teams.\n
