 n has an opening for an HPC Systems Software Engineer to join the team.\n\
 nWe are looking for system developers and software engineers to join our t
 eam at the National Energy Research Scientific Computing Center (NERSC) to
  help architect, deploy, configure, and operate large scale, leading-edge 
 HPC systems. You will work collaboratively to develop and operate large-sc
 ale compute and storage platforms to drive scientific research and progres
 s. Working with other teams at NERSC, other laboratories, and vendors you 
 will develop innovative solutions that enable science as well as improve t
 he state of HPC practice on an international stage.  Using your knowledge,
  skills, and experience, you will help research, evaluate, and develop new
  technologies to support NERSC’s mission of accelerating scientific discov
 ery through high performance computing and data analysis into the exascale
  era.\n\nWhat You Will Do:\n• Participate in team-oriented agile developme
 nt and management process for HPC systems\n• Develop and maintain APIs to 
 securely expose system functionality to end users\n• Automate common tasks
  and processes to continuously improve HPC systems management\n• Analyze s
 ystem issues and develop solutions to improve end-user experience\n• Be pa
 rt of a team that installs, tests, maintains and manages HPC systems\n• As
 sist with technology evaluation of systems and system architecture\n• Work
  with vendors to prioritize, develop and enhance their technologies in ord
 er to better meet the needs of our users\n• Be part of team providing on-c
 all rotation for 24x7 HPC system support\n\nAdditional Responsibilities as
  needed:\n• Provide leadership and technical guidance to group members, an
 d members of other groups at NERSC.\n• Recommend and lead implementation a
 nd deployment efforts for system improvements that enhance reliability, st
 ability, usability, performance and security.\n• Identify and evaluate eme
 rging HPC technologies and explore new features that would create new capa
 bilities and enhance system performance and usability.\n• Participate in w
 orking/user/advocacy groups and represent NERSC and its interests to the b
 roader HPC community.\n\n
