 r a Network Engineer in Berkeley, CA.\n\nDuties: Consult and collaborate w
 ith ESnet users, ESnet Site Coordinators, and peer engineering and operati
 ons teams at Research and Education (R&E) networks and Regional Optical Ne
 tworks (RONs). Design, implement, and support network infrastructure and p
 eering architectures to support ESnet and science requirements. Configure,
  troubleshoot, and analyze network protocols (including IPv4 and v6, BGP, 
 SR, ISIS) and advanced IP network services (including MPLS, RSVP, L2 and L
 3 VPNs). Develop, implement and use automation (commercial and in house de
 veloped) and tooling technologies to measure and improve network performan
 ce. Configure and deploy Juniper QFX and Nokia SR routers. Install Juniper
  QFX routers at remote locations by directing remote hands technicians. Pr
 ocure 1/10/100 Gigabit per second Ethernet telecommunication circuits. Upd
 ate Configuration Management Database (CMDB) with customer provisioning in
 fo. Troubleshoot telecommunication circuits experiencing hard- failures (e
 .g. Loss-of-signal or link-down) and soft-failures (e.g. incrementing FCS 
 or other errors). Provide end-user consulting on network-related topics.\n
 \nBenefits: This full salary range of this position is between $ 118,692 t
 o $ 175,320 per year depending upon candidate's full skills, knowledge, an
 d abilities, including education, certifications, and years of experience.
