DESCRIPTION:The Organization:\n\nThe National Center for Computational Sci
 ences (NCCS) in the Computing and Computational Sciences Directorate at Oa
 k Ridge National Laboratory is seeking a Senior level Kubernetes Platform 
 Systems Engineer to play a key role in improving security, performance, an
 d reliability of the NCCS computing infrastructure which supports multiple
  highly ranked Top500 Supercomputers, including the world’s first exaflop 
 system, Frontier.\n\n \n\nThe Team:\n\nIn this role you will work in the I
 nfrastructure team within the the HPC Infrastructure and Networking Group 
 to support all activities of our supercomputer center.\n\n \n\nMajor Dutie
 s/Responsibilities:\n\nManage technical services and technical projects, a
 pplying advanced knowledge and experience to ensure our Kubernetes platfor
 m remains reliable, available, and fast\nUse advanced knowledge and experi
 ence, serving as lead or technical professional to identify problems and p
 rovide solutions to improve the reliability, scalability, performance, and
  efficiency of our services\nProvide a lead role in response, investigatio
 n and correction of service issues all the way from bare metal through the
  OS to the application code, including technically complex problems spanni
 ng a diverse set of areas\nContribute as a senior technical resource for t
 he team to define and implement best practices and standards within the or
 ganization\nServe in a technical lead role working vendors to resolve hard
 ware and software problems\nParticipate in an on-call rotation providing 2
 4-hour, 7-day support and off-hours maintenance windows\nServe as a senior
  technical resource working with scientific and technical users of the NCC
 S to help them use Kubernetes\n \n\nBasic Qualifications:\n\nBachelor’s de
 gree or an equivalent combination of education and experience\nAt least 8 
 years of relevant technical experience\n \n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n
 8+ years of experience working as an SRE/Systems Administrator/Systems Eng
 ineer\nExcellent interpersonal/communications skills, and the ability to w
 ork as part of a team\nExperience with Red Hat OpenShift and appropriate m
 anagement tools\nExperiencing using image registries such as Quay or Harbo
 r\nUnderstanding of networked computing environment concepts\nWorking know
 ledge of Unix systems fundamentals and common network protocols\nAbility t
 o develop and maintain programs and scripts that aid in the operation and 
 automation of tasks using various shell and scripting languages (primarily
  bash, Python, and Go)\nWorking knowledge of tools such as Prometheus, Nag
 ios, and Grafana to monitor systems, metrics and create dashboards\nWorkin
 g knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code tooling such as Terraform, Helm, and
  Puppet\nWorking knowledge of CI/CD tooling and GitOps\nExperience with co
 de review and familiarity with tools like git, GitHub and GitLab\n \n\nSpe
 cial Requirements:\n\nThis position requires the ability to obtain and mai
 ntain a clearance from the Department of Energy. As such, this position is
  a Workplace Substance Abuse (WSAP) testing designated position. WSAP posi
 tions require passing a pre-placement drug test and participation in an on
