DESCRIPTION:Overview: \n\nOak Ridge National Laboratory is the largest US 
 Department of Energy science and energy laboratory, conducting basic and a
 pplied research to deliver transformative solutions to compelling problems
  in energy and security.\n\n \n\nWe are seeking a Postdoctoral Research As
 sociate who will support the Quantum Computational Science Group in the Co
 mputer Science and Engineering Division (CSED), Computing and Computationa
 l Sciences Directorate (CCSD) at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL).  \n
 \n \n\nMajor Duties/Responsibilities: \n\nPerforming tensor network-based 
 simulations and developing algorithms to study quantum information science
  and many-body physics.\nPresent and disseminate results at scientific con
 ferences, symposia, and meetings.\nDeliver ORNL’s mission by aligning beha

 \n\nA PhD in Computer Science, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Quantum In
 formation/Data Science, or a related field completed within the last 5 yea

 n\nA familiarity with quantum physics or scientific computing\nExcellent w
 ritten and oral communication skills\nMotivated self-starter with the abil
 ity to work independently and to participate creatively in collaborative t
 eams across the laboratory \nAbility to function well in a fast-paced rese
 arch environment, set priorities to accomplish multiple tasks within deadl
