SUMMARY:Postdoctoral Appointee - AI/ML Accelerated High-Performance Comput
 ing for Image Processing
DESCRIPTION:We are looking for a post-doctoral appointee to perform resear
ch and development (R&D) in parallel and distributed systems, high-perform
ance computing techniques (HPC), and artificial intelligence/machine learn
ing (AI/ML) techniques. In this role you will collaborate with scientists
from Data Science and Learning Division (DSL) and X-ray Science Division (
XSD) to address performance issues with large-scale x-ray image analysis p
roblems. You will work with state-of-the-art high-end computing resources
and supercomputers, including Argonne Leadership Computing Facility's Pola
ris and Aurora, to solve exciting imaging problems relevant to Advanced Ph
oton Source.\n\nIn this role you can expect to:\n\nConduct research and de
velopment aligned with Argonne’s strategic missions in computation. \nCond
uct work in HPC, parallel and distributed systems, and computational imagi
ng sciences using large-scale high-end compute resources. \nPromotes findi
ngs through publications, presentations, program reports, software dissemi
nation, and other means of reporting outcomes. \nContributes to the discov
ery and technological advances in HPC, AI/ML, and image processing, with e
mphasis on the applications of exascale computers. \nStrengthens career pa
