SUMMARY:Wilkinson Postdoctoral Fellowship in Scientific Computing
DESCRIPTION:The J. H. Wilkinson Postdoctoral Fellowship fosters cutting-ed
ge research in applied mathematics and scientific computing. This is one o
f the most prestigious fellowships at Argonne National Laboratory and is t
he longest-running such postdoctoral fellowship at the national laboratori
es.\n\nThe fellowship is intended to encourage scientists engaged in trail
blazing research in scientific computing and to catalyze long-term researc
h careers in applied mathematics.\n\nArgonne provides a collaborative, ope
n-science environment where scientists from various disciplines are engage
d in solving challenging fundamental and practical problems. We value and
strive for diversity in backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives. At Arg
onne, one also has access to extreme-scale computing and experimental faci
lities.\n\nThe appointment is for one year and may be renewed for another

ast recipients, see https://www.anl.gov/mcs/wilkinson.\n\nWe are seeking a
pplications from candidates who:\n\nPossess comprehensive knowledge of met
hods in applied and computational mathematics or computational statistics\
nHave knowledge of the physical sciences and advanced scientific computing
\nHave experience and skills in interdisciplinary research involving mathe
maticians, computer scientists, and discipline scientists\nHave collaborat
