 In this pivotal role, you will be crafting products and services that rede

 proficiency in C/C++/Python, data-centric applications, distributed archit

 s group of the Advanced Technologies section at the National Center for Co
 mputational Sciences, part of the Computing and Computational Sciences Dir

 sponsibilities: \nDevelop software applications and science-based systems\
 nCollaborate with other research and technical professionals to develop ne
 w capabilities that execute on ORNL’s leading data and compute infrastruct
 ures.\nSupport multiple technology projects at the same time.\nDevelop, te
 st, and deploy services.\nEvaluate and test third-party software\nDeliver 
 ORNL’s mission by aligning behaviors, priorities, and interactions with ou
 r core values of Impact, Integrity, Teamwork, Safety, and Service. Promote

 ss.\n\nBasic Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in computer science or sof
 tware engineering, with a minimum of 2 years of programming experience OR 
 Master’s degree in computer science or software engineering, with a minimu
 m of 1 year of programming experience.\nExperience with one or more of the
  following languages:  C/C++, Go, or Python.\nExperience with containers (
 e.g., Docker) and container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes).\nExperience 
 with version control systems (e.g., Git).\nExperience with CI/CD practices
 , test methodologies.\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\nProficiency with any f
 ront-end languages (e.g., Javascript, AngularJS, React).\nWillingness to l
 earn new programming languages and technologies.\nMotivated self-starter w
 ith the ability to work independently and to participate creatively in a c
 ollaborative setting.\nStrong problem-solving skills.\nAbility to think cr
 itically.\nExcellent written and oral communication skills.\nAbility to fu
 nction well in a fast-paced research environment, set priorities to accomp
 lish multiple tasks within deadlines, and adapt to ever changing needs.\n\
