 are not traditional bioinformatics or data analysis roles. Instead, they f
 ocus on providing an infrastructure for scientific computing in biomedical
  and clinical research areas. No remote positions are available. We have h
 ybrid roles that require 2-3 days per week minimum on-site in Dallas, Texa
 s. \n\nBioHPC is recruiting for full-time positions and internships across
  a wide range of skills and experience. We operate with a “flat” organizat
 ional structure that strives to foster a community of peer Computational S
 cientists. Job duties vary by skills specialization and team members may f
 unction as a generalist or as a subject matter expert. You will find ample
  opportunities to explore different systems, applications, provide trainin
 g and education, work on diverse research projects, and to function as pro
 ject manager of specific initiatives so that you experience intellectual s
 timulation and professional growth throughout your career with the BioHPC.
   \n\nAre you an undergraduate or graduate student in the DFW area looking
  for a part-time internship? Our team has positions for part-time student 
 workers to help with user training and support, ticket system triage, and 
 other tasks to support our researchers while you grow your HPC expertise. 
 We can design flexible, hybrid schedules to accommodate your degree progra

  conversation. \n\nTypical job duties vary but may include: \n*Support fac
 ulty and research teams from all BioHPC member departments at UTSW in adap
 ting computational strategies to the specific features of the BioHPC infra
 structure.\n*Work with a range of systems and technologies such as compute
  cluster, parallel file systems, high speed interconnects, GPU-based compu
 ting and database servers.\n*Automation of continuous integration and cont
 inuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to deliver software in the HPC environ
 ment, including containerized environments.\n*Develop software and methods
  to explore, analyze and visualize very complex and high dimensional biolo
 gical and biomedical data sets.\n*Design and optimize workflows for the hi
 gh-performance compute environment for data collection, data integrity, st
 able data flow, and ensuring data security during transfer and at rest.\n*
 Participate with UTSW faculty in the design and execution of collaborative
  research studies in biomedical informatics, providing expertise on the HP
 C environment.\n*Interact with users to understand computational research 
 needs and develop/deliver training on the application and usage of computa
 tional systems to help accelerate the pace of scientific discovery across 
 UTSW’s research community.\n\n
