Jim Kovach Builds HPC Bridges for Research and Education

As the current Director of Business Development in Higher Education and Research at Indiana-based PIER Group LLC, James “Jim” Kovach provides technology solutions and resources specifically to the research and education industry, including at well-known “powerhouse” computing institutions like University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, Minnesota Supercomputing Institute at the University of Minnesota, and Purdue University. However, Kovach’s HPC perspectives have been shaped by more than 30 years of diverse computing and information technology experience gleaned from his time with companies such as Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Compaq Computer Corp., and Xerox. Much of Kovach’s career has involved connecting public sector clients with leading-edge computing hardware and infrastructure solutions.
